HP DeskJet 1110, 1200 Printers - Replacing Ink Cartridges

This document is for HP DeskJet 1110, 1111, 1112, 1210, 1212, 1255, DeskJet Ink Advantage 1115, 1118, 1216, and 1275 printers.

Supervene upon ink cartridges that are low or out of ink with new, genuine HP ink cartridges.

Step 1: Load paper

Before you replace the ink cartridges and begin the alignment process, load paper in the printer.

1. Enhance the input tray.

2. Remove any newspaper from the input tray that is different than the type of newspaper you lot want to load, and and then slide the paper width guide as far equally possible to the left.

3. Load a stack of U.Southward. letter, A4, or legal size newspaper into the input tray with the brusk edge downward and the impress side facing you. Button the stack into the tray until information technology stops.

Step two: Replace the ink cartridges

Replace one or both ink cartridges.

1. Press the Power push to plow on the printer, if it is not already on.

2. Lower the output tray, if it is non already lowered.

3. Reach inside the printer, grasp the handle, then lower the ink cartridge admission door.

4. Wait until the wagon is idle and silent before you lot go on.

5. Lightly press down on the ink cartridge to release information technology.

6. Pull one ink cartridge toward you out of its slot.

8. Remove the plastic tape.

   caution:

   Do not touch the copper-colored contacts or the ink nozzles. Do not supercede the protective tape on the contacts. Handling these parts can effect in clogs, ink failure, and bad electrical connections.

9. Hold the ink cartridge past its sides with the nozzles toward the printer, then insert the ink cartridge into its correct slot.

   • Insert the black ink cartridge () into the right slot.

   • Insert the tri-color ink cartridge () into the left slot.

10. Slide the ink cartridge at a slightly upwardly angle into the empty slot, and so gently push button up on the ink cartridge until it snaps into place.

11. Echo these steps to install the other ink cartridge, if necessary.

12. Close the ink cartridge access door.

After loading the paper, the printer automatically prints an alignment page.

Align the ink cartridges in Windows 8, Windows seven, or Windows Vista.
